Biography
Dr. Tran Nam Thang is currently Vice Dean of Faculty of Forestry, Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry (HUAF). He finished his undergraduate degree of forestry engineer at HUAF in 1997 before working as an officer for the Department of Planning and Investment of Buon Ja Wan Forestry Investment and Development Company in Central Highland, Vietnam. From 2002-2011, Thang continued his academic career and got both MSc and Ph.D. on Natural Resource Management, School of Environment, Resources and Development, Asian Institute of Technology (Thailand). Since 2002, he has also worked as a lecturer at HUAF on several subjects, such as applicable/practice Biodiversity Conservation, Integrated watershed management, etc.
In FTViet project, Thang leads the Capacity Building Outreach Workpackage.
